Creating Authentic Spaces

As an interior designer based in Missoula, my approach goes beyond the typical design trends to create spaces that are genuinely tailored to you. I believe well-crafted personal spaces are essential for relaxation and rejuvenation—spaces that allow you to unwind at the end of the day. My background in psychology and a deep understanding of color help me craft interiors that not only reflect your personality but also promote a sense of peace and well-being.

My design philosophy is rooted in authenticity and utilizing natural, non-toxic materials. I focus on using healthy products that support a sustainable lifestyle while delivering interiors that are both beautiful and functional. For clients who seek unique, high-quality spaces, my aim is to create interiors that are a reflection of individuality, rather than mass appeal. My goal is to offer interior design that is attainable for everyone.

My educational background began at the University of Montana, where I majored in Sociology and Psychology. This foundation deepened, with a Master’s in Forensic Psychology from Arizona State University, giving me a profound understanding of human behavior. However, my true passion for interiors led me to the Interior Design Institute, where I honed my skills. A transformative summer studying interior design in Japan allowed me to immerse myself in the principles of Japanese minimalism, influencing my approach to simplicity and tranquility.

Raised in the stunning landscapes of Western Montana, I’ve always been surrounded by the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains. This natural environment, combined with my exposure to Japanese minimalism and my travels to Norway, have shaped my design philosophy. I draw inspiration from the warmth and charm of traditional Norwegian homes, with their vibrant, welcoming colors—homes made to be lived in. I believe in blending refined design elements with natural surroundings, creating spaces that evoke a sense of calm and connection to nature.

Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat, a healthier living space, or an environment that truly reflects your personality, my goal is to create a space that is uniquely yours, providing both comfort and beauty.

Initial Call

We will have a 15-20 minute conversation on the phone to establish your goals, design style preferences, and how involved you want your redesign to be. We will create a meeting time to come view the space.

2

Meeting in the Space

I will come to view the space. While here I will get information, pictures, and have a more in-depth discussion. This 1 hour meeting is the opportunity to share 2-3 things that you like or dislike about your space.

3

Report Creation

I will compile information based on our site visit that will help you create a space that you enjoy that also refreshes the atmosphere of your home.

4

Receiving Your Report

You will get a report that includes an analysis of your home as it exists today, and a guide to incorporate design themes into it. I will send recommendations of fabrics, colors, paints, or patterns if applicable. I will create a Floor Plan keeping in mind the space and how you would like to use it, as well as recommendations for furniture types.

Creating your Space

Use this report to create your space on your own or ask me to work with you to fulfill this plan. This will allow you to either get assistance and get your project done faster or to take your time and do it yourself.
